Built for riders who demand both function and finesse, these reins feature raised fancy stitching that adds a sophisticated touch to your tack, making them a top-tier choice for showjumping and eventing.

The rubber grip is textured and extremely grippy, offering a secure hold in all conditions without the need for hand stops. Whether you're navigating tight turns or galloping cross-country, these reins provide confident, non-slip control.

To ensure long-lasting shape and resilience, the rubber is reinforced with a nylon tape lining that prevents stretching over time—ideal for riders who ride hard and need their gear to keep up.

For added utility, the reins include martingale stoppers—a small but crucial detail that prevents the rings of a running martingale from sliding too far forward and interfering with the bit, ensuring both safety and clear rein aids.

Finished with stainless steel hook stud closures, the reins offer a clean, secure fit that complements their refined look.

These rubber reins receive excellent ratings for quality, grip, and craftsmanship. Customers said they feature "soft and supple" leather with "amazing quality and grip" that performs well even when wet. The rubber is described as "pliable and exactly the right degree of sticky." One shopper noted longer shipping times, possibly due to made-to-order production.

    Loved the reins!

Ordered a pair of these reins for my jumper with the European English leather. The order took longer to receive than I expected, but it may be because they are made to order. The did eventually come and the leather is wonderful and the rubber sturdy. I would definitely order again, just be aware they do not ship instantly.

    Ordered more!

Obsessed with these reins. They came with my Royal figure 8 bridle and I bought them to go with my black dressage bridle because I love them so much. They keep my hands from slipping.

    Awesome!

Leather is soft and supple, rubber is pliable and exactly the right degree of sticky. I usually hate rubber reins but these are really comfortable to use!

What is the difference between the 3 types of leather? I have 2 pairs of Royal reins and they are worn out- falling apart. So I would like to replace them but want to ensure that I buy good quality. Thank you.

    Bridles & Reins

    Hi Kelly,

The leather used for the Royal Reins was discontinued along with them in 2017.
We request you visit the blog below to learn more about the leather qualities that we offer now.

All of our leather qualities are remarkable but if we had to recommend one, we would suggest you go for the Pre-Oiled Vegetable Tanned Leather.
