>HEADPIECE
The Exion Hercules Hunter Bridle features a straight padded mono-crown headpiece designed especially for hunters. True to traditional hunter tack aesthetics, it avoids excessive shaping or embellishment, maintaining a clean and sophisticated profile. Subtle ear cutouts are carefully integrated without altering the crown’s straight silhouette, ensuring both comfort and the classic hunter look.
>BROWBAND
The straight padded browband is complemented by raised fancy stitching, a hallmark of fine hunt bridles. This understated yet elegant detail enhances the overall design while highlighting the craftsmanship and balance hunters appreciate in the show ring.
>NOSEBAND
The straight, raised, padded noseband follows the same traditional hunter style as the original Hercules Hunter Bridle, but in a thinner & more refined profile. Finished with elegant raised fancy stitching, it preserves the timeless hunter aesthetic while offering a slightly sleeker appearance preferred by riders who favour a finer noseband in the hunter ring. The soft padding helps distribute pressure evenly across the horse’s nose while maintaining the balanced and sophisticated look expected from premium hunter bridles.
>REINS
Included with the bridle are 5/8" wide laced reins, also known as braided reins, favoured by hunter riders for their secure grip and classic appearance. A unique feature of these reins is the detachable martingale stoppers, giving you the flexibility to use the same bridle for hunter classes or jumping—remove it for the hunter ring or attach it back for training and jumping sessions.
>HARDWARE
Both the reins and cheekpieces use hook stud fastenings, offering a neat, seamless look. Like all Exion bridles, the hunting bridle is finished with premium stainless steel hardware for long-lasting durability and a polished shine.

Customers praised this hunter bridle for its "supple" leather and quality padding. Many noted it "didn't need to be oiled" right out of packaging. However, sizing inconsistencies were reported, with some needing modifications. Shoppers disliked the rubber reins, and a few mentioned assembly difficulties and noseband padding slippage with martingales.
Didn’t need to be oiled or “broke in” super soft right out of the packaging. Took it straight to a show and used it all weekend. I did order the fancy laced reins to go with it instead of the rubber.
It didn't come assembled and without instructions, took time that I didn't have to arrange and put together
Quality products and very good packaging!
I had to do some modifications which unfortunately added $45 to the price but am now happy to have a product that works! The horse I got this for is an Oldenburg cross so while his head is very big it's not quite true Warmblood big. The bridle did fit but on the very highest hole for noseband and bit. I had a local shoe repair take 2 inches off all the straps and now fits with room to adjust up or down. The padding on the headstall makes it very difficult to adjust the brow band up due to the lip on the leather but this may also be because he's between sizes. Overall happy with the quality of the bridle and leather. The rubber reins and awful but I've always hated those :)
So far so good with this bridle. It's held up well and I've been using it about a month.
Nice productLeather nice and supple, not very stiff out of packaging. Fit horse well, nicely padded locations on bridle. Highly recommend for schooling/trailing/ local open shows.
Visually, a very nice bridle. The holes don't match up on the sides (for example, the bit is on the 2nd hole on one side, and the third on the other but it's an even fit, noseband is the same way). I'm not a fan of the rubber reins so I'll be changing to braided in time.
I’ve always loved the quality of exion pros bridles and nosebands, 10/10 reccomend just double triple check your color settings before you order!!

I love this bridle! This is probably my 8th bridle I’ve purchased (not to mention girths, breastplates, and martingales) from Royal and each piece is stunning and gets lots of compliments! Very affordable, and great customer service!
The padding on this bridle is really nice especially under the chin. I bought pony sized and it’s tiny I think it could fit a Shetland, so I went with cob and the padding under noseband makes it a very tight fit to the biggest hole. Rubber reins are nice and stitching looks great, very supple leather prior to oiling. I reccomend just be careful when picking a size
Love this bridle. It fits my 17.2 Warmblood mare perfectly! The only thing I don't really like is the back of the noseband. It has a padded piece that slips up when you tighten the noseband and it's also hard to fit martingales over. I obviously enjoy the fact that it's padded, but it's just a little inconvenient. Otherwise, this bridle is great and I will be purchasing more products from this site!

Can I attach a hack more piece to this bridal?
Hi Amy,
A hackamore bridle doesn’t require cheekpieces, so if you attach a hackamore to the crownpiece of this bridle, there will be an extra strap left unused.
A better option would be to use a crownpiece with a removable noseband strap (link below). This allows you to remove the noseband strap and connect the hackamore piece directly to the cheekpieces of the headstall. The same crownpiece can also be used as a nosebandless bridle when preferred.

Hello, I am hoping someone can help me please. I am in need of replacement cheek pieces in full size for this bridle. I have had the bridle about 6 years so it is branded ‘Royal’, it is black with brass buckles. I have had a look on the website but can’t seem to find any black with brass buckles. Many thanks Emily
