We advise most of our customers to purchase an extra headpiece at the time of purchasing the bridle. Since one extra headpiece will save you money in the long run and will comfort you to replace the used up headpiece with the extra purchased headpiece at the time of original buying.

Customers who already own the bridle can save huge by purchasing this replacement headpiece and renewing their old tack instead of purchasing a whole new bridle. On purchasing the product, the rider gets a complete set of a crownpiece, a throat latch and a pair of cheekpieces. 

Purchasing a headpiece elsewhere doesn't provide the exact fitting and the horse will also suffer the comfort of the original gear. It is recommended to all the horse riders who are our loyal customers, to purchase the concerned crownpiece from our tack store only in case they are looking for an extra piece along with their bridle.

This is a very rich quality product crafted with elite quality leather which is the best and foremost used around the globe and delivers a smooth finish along with attractive looks for schooling purposes and show rings.

Our anatomical shaped crown pieces are so designed and crafted to put minimum pressure on horses' most delicate facial nerves or pinch the ears. It results in more comfort which has a cascading effect of free and natural face locomotion and movement while riding or walking. A top-end product with a 50 mm broad mono crown piece, anatomically shaped making free space for the ear. Extra broad headpiece releases maximum pressure from the neck of the horse.

Soft padding is the most unique and distinct quality of this bridle. Due to soft & cosy padding on the crown piece, this bridle headpiece becomes horse-friendly.

Each stitch is precisely sewn and counts up to 10 to 12 stitches per inch with heavy-duty cotton threads that are trimmed to impart clean and finished looks in order to retain optimum durability and beauty.

We offer 4 different types of crownpieces. The rest of the crown pieces fall into these 4 types, with differences in the shape of the crown or the poll piece and the stitching colour. The 4 crown pieces are as follows:

How to measure your crownpieces?

To find the perfect crown piece, you need a few measurements.

• Bit-to-Bit: Start from the corner of your horse's mouth where the bit ring connects to the cheekpieces (specifically 1” below & behind the cheekbone) on one side (A₁), and run the measuring tape up behind the ears, over the poll, and down to the corresponding point on the opposite side (A₂).
• Throatlatch Circumference: Wrap the measuring tape around your horse's throat starting at the widest part of the jaw and moving up over the poll, back to your starting point for the full circumference (B). Keep the tape comfortably snug without pulling it tight.
• Split-to-Split: Start measuring from just below the ear (where the browband would sit, (C₁)), over the poll, and to the base of the opposite ear (C₂).
• Cheekpiece Length & Width: The length of the cheekpieces is an additional measurement once you have the bit-to-bit measurement and gives you a clearer picture of just how much adjustment you have. Although the width of the cheekpieces remains the same throughout sizes, it can be an important measurement to ensure the compatibility of your crownpiece. 

Size Charts

1. Triple & Quadruple Strap Crownpieces Size Chart

The triple strap crownpiece works on almost all standard bridles with a noseband, cheekpiece & throatlatch. They come with the most variety of poll shapes depending on the use case for each discipline and the rider's preference. For the double bridle (quadruple strap) crownpiece, all the measurements remain the same, and an extra 1/2" smaller cheekpiece is added.

Each strap on these crownpieces is 1/2" (noseband, cheekpieces & throatlatch) wide, and the width of the crownpiece at the split (where the browband sits) is 1". 

2. Convertible & Double Strap Crownpieces Size Chart

These have been designed for the Exion Bitless Bridles & for riders who like to go nosebandless. For the convertible headpieces, all the measurements remain the same and a 1/2" wide removable noseband strap is added.  

The straps on the crownpiece are 5/8" (noseband/cheekpiece) & 3/8" (throat latch) wide, and the width of the crownpiece at the split (where the browband sits) is 1".  

3. Single Strap Crownpiece Size Chart

These are for the Exion Anti-Pressure Bridle only. The straps on the crown piece are 6/8" wide.
