    The Exion “Ayla” Anatomical Drop Noseband reinterprets the traditional drop noseband with a more anatomical and airflow-oriented design, making it especially suited to eventing.

    The purpose of a traditional drop noseband is to sit low on the horse’s nose to discourage excessive opening of the mouth, but when fitted incorrectly or tightened too much, its low position can place unnecessary pressure on the nasal bone and restrict airflow. 

    The Ayla takes the same concept but sits slightly higher than a traditional drop noseband.  The anatomical straps of the noseband curve downward to be used as the flash of the noseband. The upper straps are anatomically shaped as well to follow the contours of the horse’s face while leaving generous clearance around the nostrils, an important consideration during the physical demands of eventing. 

    Finished with raised fancy stitching through the centre, the Ayla combines the familiar function of a drop noseband with anatomical shaping, comfortable clearance, and the refined appearance of premium English eventing tack.

      Works great and looks good.

      Our horse has an odd shaped head. He needs a cob sized bridle and a horse sized nose band. This was a great way to make the adjustment and also go to a more anatomical cut at the same time. The horse seems much more comfortable and moves better now.

      Will this fit any Exion bridle? I have the figure eight and would like this noseband.

      Hi Nichole,

      Yes, it will fit almost all our bridles, including all the figure eight bridles and, any bridle with a 1/2" wide cheekpiece that buckles onto the noseband.
      The only bridles in our current collection that are not compatible with this noseband are the "Anti Pressure" bridles (Item Codes: #1195 & #1196)
