Elegant, durable, and made for refined control — the Exion Soft Leather Reins are crafted from softy leather also known as calfskin leather wrapped around a strong nylon tape that prevents the reins from stretching over time, ensuring lasting shape and performance.

Featuring 7 discreet hand stoppers stitched beneath the leather to create that soft notched leather rein look, they provide consistent grip without disrupting the clean, minimalist look riders desire in dressage. These soft padded leather reins feel beautifully supple yet firm in hand, offering the ideal balance of comfort and reliability.

A standout feature is the detachable martingale stopper, allowing riders to use them with or without a martingale or breastplate, making them ideal for both training and competitions.

Each rein is precisely stitched with heavy-duty cotton thread and finished with stainless steel hardware for long-lasting strength and shine. The soft calfskin leather and matching stitching create an elegant, cohesive finish.

Customers praised these soft leather reins as "beautifully made" with excellent quality for the price. The leather becomes grippy after conditioning. I love, love, love these reins!

I absolutely love these reins! I just got the vegetable tanned leather because I'm balling on a budget, but I'm so impressed. I'm really picky about the feel and thickness of my reins, but these are great. They can be a little slippery when you first ride in them, but after a few good cleanings and oilings, they become nice and grippy. I use these (in black) on my mare's Passier dressage bridle, and they don't look out of place at all. They are easy to clean with a rag and some leather cleaner spray.
Now I just need to buy a second pair in brown for my jump bridle!

    Great Reins!

These are soft and beautifully made reins. I was originally sent the wrong reins and was sent the correct ones promptly. Great customer service.

Great products and quality, just with the sizing was a little better

Really impressed with the quality and feel of their products. But the sizing is a little off. Especially the draw reigns. They are so small. They’re almost almost like pony reigns, and they’re supposed to be a one size for a horses.

    Hi Laila,

Thank you so much for your feedback!

Just to clarify, our draw reins are 90' long, and our leather reins are 54' long in the full size.

We appreciate your feedback about the draw reins' sizing, but it looks like this review was left on our leather reins which we hope those worked well for you!

    Thank you,
    Bridles & Reins

    Nice reins

I like this style of rein. The leather is soft and the grips are decently done. Inexpensive for the quality. My big complaint is that I bought black reins for dressage and they are topstitched in WHITE! I took a sharpie and colored the thread. I would have rated they a 5 if not for the white stitching. Overall a very good quality rein for the price.

    Hi Tracy,

    Thank you for your feedback!
We are glad to inform you that we are working on new reins with matching stitching and plan to launch them in the coming months.

    Thank you,
    Bridles & Reins

    Exion Pro Leather rein

Shipping was fairly quick. Watch out for the duty in your area - not included. Learner is very soft and worked in after 5 or so rides. Happy with the purchase.

    Four stars and here's why

In truth, the tack is fine. The bib martingale is exactly what I wanted, and the reins - without being the best in the world - are fine for the casual hacking we do. BUT it took a dog's age for my order to be fulfilled. A month. That is way too long.

    So soft

These reins are unbelievably soft and flexible. I'm inclined to order another bridle now

    Hi Adrienne,

The oversized reins measure 57" from the buckles to the end when assembled. You can also find the size chart in the images for the product for more information.
