The Exion Short Stud Guard Girth features an ergonomic shape that allows for maximum freedom of movement and exceptional comfort. Its durable leather outer shell is not only strong and easy to clean, but also makes it perfect for Eventing thanks to its high resistance to knocks and scratches and its ability to absorb external impact with ease.

Designed with soft and cosy padding, this girth is gentle on the horse’s skin, preventing itching. It is especially suitable for sensitive horses and helps prevent girth galls and rubs.

Crafted from premium vegetable-tanned leather—a top-grade material widely recognised across the Asian continent—this girth offers a smooth finish and elegant appearance, ideal for both schooling and the show ring.

Each stitch is carefully done using heavy-duty cotton thread, trimmed for a clean, polished look while ensuring long-lasting durability and refined aesthetics.

The stainless steel buckles are smoothly finished, curved, and lacquered for superior performance and longevity.

Its compact size makes it a true monoflap girth, perfectly suited for monoflap saddles or even for ponies.

How to measure your Girths?

All 3 types of Girths are to be measured from the middle of the lower buckle, beginning from one end (A₁) to the other end (A₂) as shown in the image.

Size Charts

The girths come in different sizes with a difference of 5 cm in each girth, allowing you to find the perfect fit for your horse. You may want to size up in the case of a sheepskin padding girth.

The sizes available for each girth depend upon the Type of the Girth. Please allow a sizing tolerance of 1 cm.

It will take some time to break-in. The leather is a bit stiff and the fleece lining is quite thick.

Very happy with the short

Very happy with the short stud guard girth. Price was excellent, item arrived in Australia within a week and the quality is great. The leather initially a little bit stiff but softened up nicely with some conditioner. What is really noticeable is that the horse no longer carries on when his girth is done up, all that soft sheepskin obviously makes it really comfortable for him. And when the sheepskin is grubby you just pull it away and put it through the washing machine with some wool wash. Other girths like this were well over double the price and less practical. I will keep using this company.

Fantastic girth!

I bought this girth to use with my monoflap jump saddle for shows and it is wonderful! I ordered it with the sheepskin padding and it is attached by velcro so you can take it off and easily wash! It is so easy to keep clean and it is very protective! Love this girth!
