>HEADPIECE

This bridle features the shape of our trusted Anti-Pressure Crownpiece, specially adapted for the bitless collection with a two-strap design. It offers generous ear clearance through sculpted cutouts and includes a central gap in the padding to relieve poll pressure. Mirroring the ergonomic shape of our three-strap version, it delivers the same level of comfort in a simplified, bitless headstall format.

>BROWBAND

The padded browband is designed to complement the anatomical structure of the bridle with fancy stitching that matches the noseband.Ā

>NOSEBAND

The anatomical sidepull nosebandĀ is designed for horses that may be sensitive to the strap used on many traditional sidepull bridles for horses to keep the nosepiece upright. Instead of relying on that strap, thisĀ noseband follows the natural contours of the horse’s nose for a clean & forgiving fit without unnecessary bulk. The soft padding & raised fancy stitching combine comfort with a refined appearance, while stainless steel D-rings provide secure rein attachment within this anatomical sidepull bitless bridle setup.

>REINS

Crafted from high-quality rubber, these reins provide a secure, refined grip for confident riding. Equipped with martingale stoppers and a reliable hook fastening, they offer both functionality and a clean, professional finish.

>HARDWARE

All hardware components, including buckles and sidepull rings, are made from premium stainless steel. Designed for minimal leverage, this sidepull is ideal for riders who prefer a bitless bridle without a shank, especially compared to more mechanical setups like a bitless bridle with a shank.

The 'Lynx' bridleĀ is designed as an anatomical alternative to the traditional sidepull bridle, combining the freedom of a bitless setup with a more pressure-conscious & refined design. With premium leather construction, detailing, and a comfortable fit, this bridle offers balanced communication and everyday comfort for riders seeking anatomic sidepull bridles for horses.

It didn't work for my horse no control for her

It didn't work for my horse no control for her. Suffers from TMJ, no fault of your company. But I tried it only once. Would like to return for credit

Is this a good choice for a horse with TMJ

    Bridles & Reins

    Hi Pamela,

While our anatomical sidepull bridle is designed with comfort in mind and helps distribute pressure more evenly than a traditional bridle, it wasn't specifically designed or tested for horses with TMJ issues, so we can't say whether it would be the right choice for every horse with that condition.

Since TMJ issues can vary in severity and cause, we'd recommend consulting your veterinarian or equine dentist to determine the most suitable bridle for your horse's individual needs.

The fit of the bridle is also an important factor. Even an anatomical bridle can cause pressure and discomfort if it doesn't fit correctly, while a properly fitted bridle is generally much more comfortable for the horse. Please feel free to write to us if you have any questions regarding the sizing of the bridle or any other questions.

    Thank you,
    Bridles & Reins
